Who we are
This is a research collaboration between Stefano Evangelista (TORCH – The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, University of Oxford) and Gesa Stedman (Centre for British Studies, Humboldt Universität Berlin) to investigate British literary responses to Berlin in the early twentieth century and their lasting legacy on the city’s culture. This site was first created to accompany exhibitions that were held in the Literaturhaus Berlin, Humboldt University and Bodleian Library in 2021.
